Executive Driver

Contract: Full Time, 42 hours a week
Location: The City Ground, Nottingham, NG2 5FJ and Various locations
Working Arrangements: On site

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Be the lead Driver for the executive department and for Training Ground football requirements across the First Team and Academy.
- Work with relevant staff to find the best solution for transport needs, ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient solutions are found which may require adjusting plans after they have been proposed.
- Assist with the scheduling of transport needs across the First Team and Academy.
- Make recommendations on how best to maximise to efficient use of the Club’s pool of vehicles.
- Work with the first team transport department to develop an efficient transport calendar and process for booking journeys.
- Assist the Fleet Manager in ensuring vehicles kept at the Training Ground are maintained to ensure they are legally compliant. Mileage sheets and vehicle logs should be tracked and regulated.
- Work with the Fleet Manager, ensuring vehicles are booked in for servicing and repairs where required.
- Ensure vehicles are kept in a clean condition, arrange cleaning where needed, ensuring Club procedures are followed in terms of PO raising and submission of invoices.
- Ensure any damage to Training Ground vehicles is immediately reported.
- Map out driving routes ahead of time to ensure the safest, most cost and time efficient trip is delivered.
- Be available where required, to assist with any Ad-hoc Club driving jobs, including work from the City Ground.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- A valid and clean driving licence
- FA CRB Enhanced Disclosure
- Extensive experience in professional driving roles
- Experience of working with high-profile individuals
- Good knowledge of local and national roads, and planned roadworks
- Ability to drive different types of vehicles (e.g. automatic, 9-seaters, vans)
- Comfortable driving long distances at different hours of the day
- Ability to work effectively under own initiative and as a team member to anticipate and prioritise different workloads
- Ability to communicate concisely, assertively and effectively with various professional disciplines and at all levels of an organisation
- Is structured and diligent in areas of financial control, administration, and operations. Maximises use f resources.
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
- A polite and professional disposition with an ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to adapt quickly and have a flexible attitude
- Be able to maintain absolute confidentiality
Desirable:
- A recognised qualification in Safeguarding Children or equivalent
- Additional driving qualifications
- Have a good level of IT skills
