We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, meticulous, and determined Grounds Person to join our business and perform a key role within Nottingham Forest Football Club.
Within the role of Grounds Person, the successful applicant will utilise their experience, preferably within a sporting institution to prepare and maintain all the football pitches and playing surfaces at The City Ground and Training Ground in line with industry standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Grounds Manager in preparation, presentation and maintenance of all playing surfaces and football pitches at both the Stadium and the Training Ground to the standards required by the Football Authorities.
- Ensure all areas are maintained and kept to the highest professional and industry standards.
- Undertake all grounds management duties including but not limited to cutting, mowing, line marking, aerating, devoting, fertiliser and sand application, strimming and rotary mowing, and grooming of artificial surfaces.
- Spray pitches and surfaces.
- Drive ride-on mowers, tractors and using all associated attachments and implements responsibly, verti-draining and multi-coring.
- Keep surrounding areas and ground storage areas maintained and tidy.
- Wear any personal protective equipment provided, and comply with all Health and Safety guidelines, working in a manner not to cause injury or harm to yourself or anyone else, or the property of the Club.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- Demonstrable experience in working as a Grounds Person preferably within a sporting institution.
- NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Grounds Maintenance essential. Level 3 beneficial.
- Pa1, Pa6 & Pa2 spraying qualification is an advantage.
- Experience of driving relevant vehicles such as tractors and ride-on mowers.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance and is reliable.
- Dedicated to working to the highest standard at all times, displays a positive attitude, is discrete and trustworthy.
- Resilient and comfortable working outdoors.
- Excellent physical fitness including the ability to walk up to 6 miles at any one time and to lift goods of up to 25kg without the use of manual handling equipment.
- Driving licence desirable
