We are seeking a driven Procurement Officer to lead on procurement activities across a selection of cost centres within Nottingham Forest FC. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for supplier relationship management (SRM), monitoring and reviewing contracts, and managing sourcing activities within their allocated cost centres. The ideal candidate will ensure all procurement activities are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the club’s long-term strategic goals.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services, balancing quality and budget considerations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Review and negotiate contracts for goods and services to ensure they are favourable to The Club and comply with legal standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements across the procurement process.
- Sourcing and purchasing a diverse range of products and services for the club and to achieve quality, delivery and cost targets through effective supplier management.
- Monitor supplier performance closely, addressing any issues or concerns promptly to maintain the highest standards for the club.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project procurement needs and deadlines within the club. Conduct competitive sourcing exercises to ensure the club is receiving the best value for its expenditure.
- Lead new tender processes, including preparing tender documents, managing timelines, evaluating bids, and ensuring transparency throughout the process.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- CIPS Level 3 or relevant experience
- Ability to meticulously manage supplier data, compliance documents, and procurement records.
- Strong negotiation skills for managing supplier terms and conditions, especially in low-value contracts.
- Ability to assess supplier performance data and identify risks or improvement opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and suppliers simultaneously, with strong prioritisation and time management abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot procurement and supplier-related issues independently or in collaboration with other teams.
- Proficiency in procurement management systems (e.g., ERP systems), Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
