Location: The Nigel Doughty Academy, Nottingham, NG2 7SR
Working Arrangements: On site
Reporting to: Academy Operations Manager and Assistant Academy Operations Manager
Placement Term: 1st July 2025 - 31st May 2026

You will help with the day to day running of the Academy programme, focusing primarily on football administration tasks and day to day operational requirements. We will provide support throughout your placement and the opportunity to experience and understand other areas of the business.
The role will be varied and requires a hardworking, conscientious and flexible team player who is eager to gain firsthand invaluable experience within a Premier League Football Club’s Category One Academy.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the running of home match days across the Pre-Academy and Schoolboys Games Programme;
- Support the wider Operations Team with various operational & administrative tasks relating to fixtures and trips both domestically and internationally;
- Support the team in liaising with the Referee Appointments Officer to ensure coverage across the Schoolboy’s Games Programme and administrator all post-match payments;
- Support the day-to-day administration of the of Academy Hybrid programme;
- Assist with Academy wide transport requests and complete weekly vehicle checks;
- Create system accounts for all new starters and support the Assistant Academy Operations Manager upload of the weekly Academy schedule to the communications platform;
- Assist the Academy Operations Team with various operational and administrative tasks, including but not limited to, the processing of player ticket requests, allocation of ball assistants to 1st team fixtures, meeting room bookings and the welcoming of Academy guests.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- A strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for this role alongside a willingness to learn and a passion for a career in the environment;
- Be an Undergraduate student in the placement year of Sports Management, Business Administration, Sports Events Management or a similar course;
- Due to the nature of the role, there is an expectation to be available to attend weekend and evening activity on a regular basis.
