Front of House Barista

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and speciality
beverages.
• Maintain strict confidentiality information without disclosure.
• Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers
• Cleaning and sanitising work areas, service areas, utensils, and equipment
• Greeting & servicing customers whilst taking orders.
• Ordering and receiving stock supplies.
• Maintain a high level of stock control and communication of supplies running low.
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
• Prepare beverages following recipes.
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Set up and assist with producing juices & water for service.
• Assist with the setting up of service counters and clear down of area afterwards.
• Assist with the cleaning of all crockery, cutlery, and service utensils.
• Ensure the highest possible standards of presentation by ensuring that displays, fixtures,
fittings, and premises are maintained in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
• Present a smart, professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Maintain standards of safety and hygiene as per current legislation and other statutory
requirements.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team within the general scope and purpose of the job.

• Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations

• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences

• Able to perform well and remain professional whilst under pressure
• Displays a smart and professional appearance
• Adaptable and flexible with working patterns when required
