About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Performance Physiotherapist to join our Men’s First Team medical department. This role is designed for a specialist who sits at the intersection of clinical excellence and athletic performance. The primary focus is not just the treatment of injury, but the proactive optimisation of physical robustness and the delivery of high-performance strategies to keep our squad at their peak throughout the Premier League season.
The successful candidate will work within a progressive medical and performance team, focusing on injury prevention, recovery protocols, and individualised performance maintenance for elite footballers.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Deliver elite-level manual therapy and clinical treatments focused on immediate recovery and daily performance readiness.
Work closely with the Sports Science and Strength and Conditioning departments to develop and implement individualised injury prevention (pre-habilitation) programs.
Conduct regular musculoskeletal screenings to identify performance deficits or injury risks, providing actionable data to the coaching staff.
Lead daily recovery sessions, utilising the latest technology and evidence-based modalities to ensure optimal player availability.
Contribute to the integration of performance-based metrics into the clinical decision-making process for both healthy and returning players.
Support the First Team during domestic and international travel, maintaining high standards of performance care while on the road.
What are we looking for:
A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in elite sport is essential, with a proven track record in a professional football environment.
Deep understanding of the physiological demands of elite football and the ability to apply performance-focused clinical reasoning.
A degree in Physiotherapy and current HCPC & ATMMiF registration.
Additional qualifications in Strength and Conditioning or Sports Science are highly desirable.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with elite athletes and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
An advantage is given to candidates with proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French, reflecting the global nature of our squad.
