About the Role:
The successful candidate will lead, coordinate, and drive the delivery of performance analysis support across all Academy age groups at Nottingham Forest FC. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Academy analysis department, ensuring high-quality support is provided to players and staff throughout the development pathway.
The role will involve monitoring and tracking player development through the effective use of both objective and subjective performance data, helping to inform coaching practice and individual development plans.
In addition, the position holder will play a key role in upholding and embedding the Academy’s philosophy and methodology, supporting the wider vision of the Academy. Working closely with the Head of Player Development, Methodology and Innovation and Academy Coach Development Manager, they will contribute to the education and development of coaching staff while also actively participating in broader Academy management and strategic projects.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
To lead the support provision and requirements of the performance analysis function within the academy.
Oversee the analysis related to philosophy and methodology, aiding the academy vision.
Manage the day-to-day academy analysis operations ensuring effective processes to deliver actionable insights across all age groups.
Work in partnership with MDT teams to ensure high level reporting methods are delivered to players, coaches and key stakeholders across academy and loans.
Oversee individual analysis of Academy players using subjective and objective data to inform the Head of Academy and Academy Management Team.
Lead specific analysis projects related to the long-term development of Nottingham Forest Academy Analysis department.
Drive the club’s analytical products and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, actionable insights that support player development and performance outcomes.
Ensure effective professional development programme is implemented for both individual staff and analysis team.
Recruit permanent staff when the need arises in line with club protocols.
Manage and oversee the academy internship programme, supporting the recruitment, development, and day-to-day guidance of interns within the department.
Produce when required monthly, quarterly and yearly reports in line with our Academy strategy to update on progress met and achieved in relation to our performance analysis strategic pillar.
To create successful and professional relationships with players and staff whilst maintaining professional distance from playing staff at all times.
To act, at all times, in a manner appropriate to a representative of Nottingham Forest FC
All staff are responsible for the wellbeing and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults on all Club sites. If you have a concern or witness a Safeguarding matter, you must report it to the department’s Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) or the Club’s Lead DSO or Senior Safeguarding Manager. If It’s an emergency, you are to call the relevant emergency service such as Police or CAMHS.
What are we looking for:
Excellent understanding of football tactics and Talent Identification in players.
Excellent attention to detail and is very well organised and punctual
Able to communicate effectively at all levels and is fully computer literate.
Works effectively in a fast-paced environment; remains calm under pressure and is comfortable working to tight deadlines.
Prior experience managing kit and equipment for a sporting institution preferably within football (desirable)
Full knowledge and experience of all duties involved in a role of this nature.
Drive to achieve deadlines, organise and prioritise workload effectively, and continually review ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Demonstrate skills and attributes in a PA/administration capacity
Good verbal and written communication skills and be able to understand and explain matters arising in own area of work.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with people of all ages and backgrounds, able to maintain confidentiality, and act with tact and diplomacy
Willingness and flexibility to deal with urgent changes/ demands, whilst maintaining existing workload.
UEFA B license and educated in either Performance Analysis, Sports Science and/or coaching.
Excellent IT skills, including MS Office, intranets, web and Outlook
Experience in health and safety duties and responsibilities appropriate to the post (desirable)
Skill at handling difficult situations and confidential matters according to policy and procedures, referring to others where necessary/appropriate (desirable)
